To the left is the poster created for the 2016 Dress for Success. Since our colors for the event were black, white, and gold, we felt that this was a good representation of our event. On the bottom part of the poster we have all of the information short, sweet, and to the point to catch the eyes of students but not make them feel like they have to read a lot to understand what the event is about.
The posters were hung up around campus to promote the event.
Below is showing that we advertised two times the week before the event (March 28th and March 31st) in the Grand Valley Lanthorn, which is the university's newspaper. With this, we were able to reach out to even more students.
On March 24th we requested to put the poster up on the Hospitality and Tourism Management powerpoint for students to see in class. This powerpoint is shown at the beginning of each HTM class to give the most recent events and opportunities that are available for students.
The week before the event, the students in our class went around to as many classes on the Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses as they could to whiteboard for the event. Whiteboarding is a form of advertising where the information of the event occurring is written in the upper right hand corner of the whiteboard so it isn't in the way of the professor, but is still visible to the students to look at during class.
